PADI Openwater course, this course is the entry level certification and teaches you to become a PADI diver. It involves theory which can be done online via e-learning at your own pace, one pool session where you learn how to scuba dive and then 2 days at sea where you will complete 6 dives in total of which four are training dives.

What do you get after the PADI open water course? You get a PADI certification card showing your credentials as a PADI Openwater diver. This certification card is accepted world wide as PADI is the largest and most popular diver training agency.

What can you do with your PADI Openwater certifications card? The training you will receive during your PADI open water scuba dive course will train you to be able to dive independently with a dive buddy to a maximum depth of 18 meters.

The PADI Openwater course is offered at our custom built training centre located in Cairns, Port Douglas, Mooloolaba on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, or Tweed Heads, just south of the Gold Coast, Australia. All the diving is conducted on the fantastic Great Barrier Reef or the amazing southern reefs off the Sunshine Coast / Gold Coast.

You will require to be medically fit for diving and there is a medical questionnaire you must fill out. If there are ANY medical issues you MUST let me know straight away as you will need to complete a medical with a doctor prior to starting your dive course. You must also be able to swim 200 meters uninterrupted and float at the surface comfortably for 10 minutes.

When can you start? You can start tomorrow with the PADI e-Learning option. Don’t spend your valuable time in a classroom learning dive theory when you can do it at home before getting here. Options are to self study the theory by doing the e Learning option in which case you will need 3 days to complete your PADI openwater course or alternatively the four day option includes all the theory presented in a classroom at our brand new state of the art purpose build diver training centre.

Study at your own pace and spend three days completing the pool session followed by two fabulous days out on the Great Barrier Reef aboard one of our purpose built dive vessels.

Four day PADI learn to dive course

During the four day course option all the theory will be presented in a classroom environment. The pool and training dives continue the course on the Great Barrier Reef.
